“An entire sea of water can’t sink a ship unless it gets inside the ship. Similarly, the negativity of the world can’t put you down unless you allow it to get inside you.”

What I have been most focused on for the past couple of years, amidst a global pandemic when seemingly everything feels outside of our control, is learning how to find inner peace regardless of external circumstance. That it is all about perspective.
Abraham Hicks says “Alignment trumps everything. Stay off the subject that disturbs your alignment, and everything that you care about will come into alignment.” It is truly all about focusing on what you do want, rather than on what we don't want -- running towards something beautiful, rather than away from something undesirable.
We have the power to affect the way we feel inside at all moments in time. In fact that is what we are here to do; to learn how to keep our vibration so high that we become conscious creators of our own, beautiful reality.
This past week threw me several curveballs. A lot of people that I care about and have deep relationships with lost their jobs. Learning to be compassionate to someone's circumstance, while staying in your own high-vibrational vortex is something I am still learning how to do.

I made the mistake of having a conversation the other morning without having done my morning routine, which includes 15 minutes of meditation and writing in my gratitude journal. The conversation ended up being a large trigger, and impacting the rest of my day. It was a good reminder on the importance of me prioritizing the practices that I know help me to stay grounded and in control of my own experience. That conversation also reminded me that learning to stay true to myself regardless of what others think is also something I am continually growing into.
I do believe that the universe creates situations that force you to grow, that force you to up-level when you've begun to stagnate, and so I am grateful to be learning through all of this. That does not make it any easier in the day to day, but I do know deep down that this not all for naught, and that it is pushing me (and each of us) closer to true soul alignment.
Connecting with my soul through meditation and hypnosis truly is the best way I have found to keep that vibration high and weather all of the storms that keep on coming from the outside world.
